An Italian customer ordered an LPG-500 spray cooling granulator from Lead Machinery for stearate granulation production. The customer's technical requirements are as follows:
- Feeding flowrate: 400÷500kg/hr
- Feeding temperature: 170°C Max.
- Melting point: 145°C Max.
- Solidification Heat: ≈50kCal/kg
- Specific Heat: 0.5÷0.6Kcal/kg°C
- Finish product temperature: 50°C Max.
- Cooling air temperature = 20°C
According to the customer's requirements, we have designed the LPG -500 spray cooling granulator. After technical exchanges, the customer highly recognized our technical solution and purchased this equipment from us.
The structure of spray cooling granulator and spray dryer is similar, but different. The spray dryer mainly uses hot air as the heating medium to evaporate the water in the atomized liquid materials, so as to obtain powder or granular products. The spray cooling granulator uses the atomizer to atomize the hot melted materials into small droplets, and then cool the droplets instantaneously through the cold air. The droplets are cooled to form small particles. This granulation process is widely used in industries such as feed additives (such as benzoic acid), oils, and wax products.
